Our summer school programme is one of our most popular annual projects. Students will work alongside our director, musical director, choreographer, technical teams, and our fabulous band to mount a full-scale production of Little Shop of Horrors in just two weeks. This is an opportunity to make memories, meet new friends, hone professional theatrical skills in a fast-paced environment and experience first-hand what it is like to take part in a large-scale production!
A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world.
The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” – after his co-worker crush. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!
Join us as we put on a this delicious sci-fi smash in just 2 weeks!
Who?
This project is open to anyone aged 8 to 18 year old.
Timetable
An audition workshop will take place on Sunday the 16th June 2024.
Summer school 2024 will run over two weeks - beginning on Monday the 1st of July and end on Sunday the 14th of July!
Weekday rehearsals begin at 9am and finish at 5pm each day. Times TBC for weekend rehearsals and performances.
Our 4 performances will take place on Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th of July 2024.
Cost
The course costs £250.
A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required to secure your place.
We strongly believe that cost should not be a barrier to participation and will always, where needed, offer payment in instalments, fee reductions, or fully funded places. If you would like to speak to us about cost, just drop us a message.
